A. From the MacroForge Application:

• Anonymized Hardware ID: To create and manage your account, we generate a unique, anonymous identifier based on your computer's hardware. This ID is not linked to your personal name or email address and is used solely to track your license status and AI credits.

• User-Provided Documents: When you submit a document for processing, it is sent to our secure backend for analysis. We have a zero-retention policy for the content of your documents on our servers.

• License Key Information: We collect your license key to validate your purchase with our licensing provider and determine your feature and credit tier.

B. From our Website:

• Analytics Data: Like most websites, we use tools such as Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit on our Site. This helps us understand website traffic and improve our service.

• Marketing & Ad Data: We may use tools like the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and understand user interactions originating from our ads.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the core functionality of the Application, including processing your documents.

• To manage your account, including validating your license and tracking your AI credit usage.

• To analyze usage trends and improve our Site's user experience and our marketing efforts.

• To prevent fraudulent activity, such as the misuse of license keys or free credits.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. To provide our service, we share information with the following trusted third-party services, each with its own robust privacy and security standards:

• Google Vertex AI: Document processing is performed by Google's enterprise-grade Vertex AI platform. Under Google's terms, your data and documents are not used to train their AI models and are treated as confidential.

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase for secure user authentication (via Anonymous Auth) and to host our application database (Realtime Database).

• Lemon Squeezy: We use Lemon Squeezy to validate license keys and manage software activations.

• Google Analytics & Meta: We use these services to analyze website traffic and marketing campaign performance.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Our backend is built on Google Cloud's secure infrastructure. All communication between your application and our servers is encrypted. User accounts are protected by a secure authentication mechanism that does not require you to provide any personal information.

6. Data Retention

• Document Content: We do not store the content of the documents you process. They are handled in memory for the duration of the AI analysis and are not saved on our servers.

• Account Data: We retain your anonymized Hardware ID and associated license/credit information for as long as your account is considered active to ensure the continued functioning of the application.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to request the deletion of your account data.

• Data Deletion: To delete your account, please contact us at hello@macroforge.io and provide your license key for verification. We will delete your user record from our Firebase Realtime Database and deactivate your license instance in our licensing system (Lemon Squeezy).

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on our Site.
